i Can play a vital role in reducing water consumption

213 gallons of water is required to produce 1 single pound of refined cane sugar.

That's the equivalent of filling up 5 bathtubs with water!

Sugar & Water Usage

The sugar in 1 Starbucks Iced Coffee requires 10 gallons of water to be produced.

The sugar in 1 Can of Coke requires 12 gallons of water to be produced.

The sugar in 1 Taro Bubble Tea requires 20 gallons of water to be produced.

How Can i Take Action ?

i Can eliminate the sugar in my bubble tea once a week and save 15 bottles of water.

Starbucks Iced Coffee

1 Starbucks Iced Coffee (without any flavourings or additional syrups) = 4.5 teaspoons of sugar

If you were to consume 1 Iced Coffee per day, for a whole year, you would be consuming approximately 1,642 teaspoons of sugar OR 15 pounds of sugar.

That's the equivalent of filling up 76 bathtubs with water!

Pastries, ice cream, & sugar-sweetened drinks account for large percentages of the GHG emissions related to food.

Just 1kg of Chocolate emits 19kg of greenhouse gas emissions.

* The greenhouse gas emissions produced by nuts, fruits, and root vegetables is close to 0.
